khadijah diaz, LmSW
Therapy with me is grounded in attachment, honesty, and real-life solutions. I’m a solution-focused clinician who believes in accountability with support. Growth happens best when people feel both challenged and held. I work especially well with neurodivergent brains and with folks who’ve spent years intellectualizing their feelings. Together, we slow down, get into the body, and make sense of what’s been carried for too long.
My clinical work is culturally responsive and trauma-informed, with a focus on maternal mental health, intergenerational trauma, parent–child relationships, and short-term therapy during major life transitions. I’m EMDR-trained and integrate somatic and relational approaches to help people process trauma without getting stuck in it. The goal isn’t perfection, it’s building a foundation where you can like yourself, understand your story, and have real appreciation for how you’ve survived and adapted.
As a full-spectrum doula, veteran, and therapist, I aim to be deeply attuned to people during life’s most tender, chaotic, and transformative seasons. I'm comfortable sitting in dark spaces, naming what’s real, and holding space without rushing healing. I’m not here to force a “best version” of you, but to help you create something more grounded, honest, and livable.
I am open to working with individuals and families across many stages of life, including people navigating re-entry after incarceration, parents in difficult or estranged relationships with children of all ages, men of color, youth ages 13–17, pregnant and postpartum mothers, veterans, and couples. Sliding-scale and donation-based fees are available, and faith-based services are offered upon request.
In addition to clinical work, I am available for consultation with nonprofits, attorneys, and government entities. My consultation services include forensic interviews, parent–child reunification evaluations, and mental health assessments for immigration and other legal matters. This work is grounded in trauma-informed practice, cultural humility, and clear, defensible clinical documentation.
